PROGRAMME

The historic via Flaminia, opened by Caio Flaminio in the year 202 BC, is today, especially the part which crosses the province of Pesaro, is an authentic piece of history with its numerous still-intact bridges, incisions in the rocks, tunnels, paved stretches, pillars, sewer tunnels, boundary stones and inscriptions. This is a complex of archeological ruins of considerable importance built up over the centuries through the overlay of stratifications and various building operations. This is a simple itinerary which starts from San Martino del Piano, the archeolgical site of the ancient Forum Sempronii, and reaches the ruins of the ancient Taberna in Tavernelle di Serrungarina. Trekkers will drive to the starting point by car.
